When an opportunity to take over a maternity leave art director position with the folks at Lululemon arose, I jumped at the chance. I had the pleasure of working with an incredible team of photographers, designers, product designers, and brand leaders to give the girls’ subbrand, Aviva, a lift.
It was an inspiring eight months of travelling to California, weekly catalogue shoots, and working closely with the product designers to ensure that their vision of the product creation came through in the branding and marketing materials. We did so many casting calls and met so many beautiful young girls. I was secretly in complete awe of the product designers and the material testing technicians, both of whom deepened my appreciation for the world of apparel. I also appreciated the lunchtime yoga sessions.
